On July 26, 2002, York-Durham 3612 is preparing to pull its train ahead to the run-around track at Stouffville, Ontario. |
When
this photo was exposed in 2002, Stouffville, Ontario was the end point
of a Go Transit line that connected to Toronto Union Station by way of
Markham. Two round trips per day operated five days a week. On the
weekend, tourist trains of the York-Durham Heritage Railway ran beyond
Stouffville into Uxbridge. YDHR motive power ran around its consist
adjacent to the Go storage track several times per day, allowing for
this juxtaposition of passenger equipment from quite different eras.
