MEC Single Sheathed Boxcar - Rapido

A Rapido nice looking piece of rolling stock.

This was a simple weathering job as it is on the light side and no details needed to be applied. First Tamiya TS-80 flat clear is first applied. Trucks are painted AK winter streaking grime and wheels Americana cinnamon stick. 

Running boards are painted Flokart barn wood # 936 which is a nice color for weathered wood. On the roof I applied Crafters charcoal grey followed by PanPastel red iron oxide on the ribs and edges followed by raw umber shade in the middle of the panels. 

Sides are done with PanPastel Paynes extra dark on ribs, edges and door, then colorless blender inside the panels as fading. Some PanPastel red iron oxide extra dark and raw umber shade is used as highlights.
