Throwback Thursday - CN London Reclamation Yard, Part Four

Hopefully the photographer had had an opportunity to experience the CN/VIA Turbo Train in happier times.  Note that this photo was taken in late spring from the north side of the Dundas Subdivision mainline.  In the background you can see the elevated area from which many of our earlier panoramic shots had been taken.  Gord Taylor photo from June 17, 1981.
By Peter Mumby.
Since the Reclamation Plant was a centralized facility, equipment to be dismantled came to London from across the system.  This was a real boon for the fan of rolling stock, allowing us to photograph equipment that had strayed far from its customary habitat.  In this segment we will take a look at a few of the pieces, both ordinary and exotic, that showed up at the yard.

CN flanger 56483 posed for its portrait on March 26, 1989.
CN water car 80100 was about to end its second career on January 01, 1989.  Who says you can't apply a CN noodle decal to a Vanderbilt tender?
CN boom tender 60200 was waiting for the cutter's torch on May 05, 1991.  Note the 8-hatch express reefer next to it still wearing the CN green and gold colours
CR 50125 was inherited when CN took over Conrail's Canada Southern operations in the St Thomas area.  This view dates to May 11, 1991.
