WOD - NMRA Chatham Meet-up

Casey Casier's double deck layout. Each deck runs separately of the other as they do not connect. One deck has a triple main line. Oh there is over 130 Campbell kits on this layout that Casey built.
Yesterday the Western Ontario Division of the NFR-NMRA gathered for the first meet of the season in Chatham. The turnout was very good with about 23 members and guests attending the four layouts opened up and our lunch gathering with a good amount of models on display. Many brought something along to display. We had three tables full of models.

Of the four layouts two are MMR's which was a bonus. I was really impressed with Casey Casier's layout which displayed all 130 Campbells structure and bridge kits on his double deck layout. I believe he mentioned having 170 Campbell kits on the layout or on display around the room. As you can see in the photos he has more engines and rolling stock than most hobby shops.

Grant Miles who once was a Chatham Club member back in the 1960's also attend. Nick from ITLA was also in attendance with a display and laser cut outhouse handouts to the group. A really good meet for those that attended with many very talented modelers in the group.

I will post a few more photos through the week from this day as time permits...George Dutka

Gary Pembleton and Don Janes get caught up as their lives had not connected lately. MMR Gary Shurgold's awards can be seen behind them.

Grant Miles a past Chatham club member is now a member here in London of our model railway group.

Wayne Wessner's O scale narrow gauge modeling.

Don Janes brought along a few of his models from his layout.

Nick of ITLA brought along some give aways that he just printed up the night before.

We gathered for lunch below and here in the meeting room for door prizes and a couple of mini clinics of a few models brought along.

Ken Hutnik brought along two of his layouts which each fit inside a candle container for storage. As you can see Ken is a micro modeler. One of his layouts was featured in RMC a year ago.

There was lots of models to view.

On a display shelf at Caseu Casier's another Campbells kit has been modeled a bit different then that of the instructions.
