Do you have more steel barrels than you need?

On our way home from Lancaster, Pa. we took some back roads that the GPS seemed to think was short cuts. Well we came across a few places worth a stop and got a good feeling of what rural western New York was all about.
 An interesting use for steel drums
Leicester, NY

Across the old D.L.&W. main line from the station in Leicester, NY is a storage shed that probably was once in railroad use. What is interesting about it is the base. It appears at some point the supports were exchanged with steel drums, most likely filled with cement or sand. Wouldn't this be a great way to elevate a model structure...George Dutka
