Don's new derail in place on the creamery siding. |
I visited with Don Janes a few weeks back and had a chance to get a good look at his newer scenes. One scene that Don had blogged on before is his creamery. One of the newer details added to this scene is a derail which I think really adds more realism to the track detail. The metal casting was once offered by Alexander Scale Models now by Tomar as part no. A-9501. Some other modeling companies also offer this detail...George Dutka

A look down at the derail. Note the post next to it. A derail is a detail that was found on most customers tracks that was on a downgrade or at a location that had a chance of a roll away. |
