Flanagan Storage - London, Ont.

Hunts flour mills 1948.
Some of London's Industrial history. The old Hunt's Mill on Nightingale Ave had been bought by Flanagan Storage and Warehouse company about 1956. Below we see the demolition of six silos on the north end of Flanagan's building. After demolition of the silos, Flanagan's built a 25,000 sq ft addition to the northeast of the six story original 1917 building. After Flanagan's moved out, the site was used by Canadian Greeting Card Co, and is now home to Nova Craft Canoe. Working the CN afternoon yard job back in the 1980's we spotted cars there on a regular basis Just out of site of this photo and beyond the crossing is the CP interchange. The spur also once serviced the Kellogg's plant...George Dutka

A view of how the structure look in Oct. 2019. The photo is taken from Dundas St.
Another Oct 2019 view. Could make an interesting model.

  1. Hey, that's my favourite building in London. Nice to read the history.
