This months snapshot is a slide I scanned last fall of a nice string of switchers that were retired. I always liked operating these engines in local yard and transfer runs in the London, Ontario area. These low hp engines did not have the pulling power of the 1200 road switcher units but they were quick to react when kicking cars and reversing gears. When training as an engineman in yard service these were what was assigned to the top end and roustabout yard jobs...George Dutka
