Welcome, follow along with George Dutka in his journal which documents the additions and future thoughts for the HO scale White River Division model railroad and to his continuing historical New England railroad research. The White River Division is now in its 19th modeler's season. The "modeler's season" runs from November to April each year. Inspiration comes from the Boston and Maine, Rutland and Central Vermont Railway during the 1950's with extra posts by Don Janes and Keith MacCauley.

B&M RS-3
A couple of weeks I posted about my B&M Bowser RS-3 weathering. I forgot to mention the process began with two coats of Proto Paint Flat Haze. It is not available anymore but I have a good stock of it. I like how it dulls the finish and fades the coloring. It is an acrylic paint which is cleaned with water. I usually use Windex to clean my airbrush or windshield washer fluid...George Dutka

Earlier this week I went to a local hobby outlet in a nearby mall. Absolutely no model spray paint to be had! Are there any aerosol paints available to Canadian modelers??
ReplyDeleteI have buying some of the Home Hardware spray cans lately for basic colors.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks George. Makes one wonder why HH can sell spray paint and hobby shops cannot?
