Rutland Ry Section House

All the tones used to paint the structure.
I measured the East Wallingford, Vt. section house back in the 1980's. The plans were published in the Rutland Ry Historical Society's Newsliner back then. I finally got around this fall to build a model of the structure using leftovers from other projects. The windows are Tichy.

The walls are done by first applying India ink and alchol followed by MIG Buff from their Canadian locomotive set. It is their tone for the gold in the green and gold but it is way off. I followed this by a dusting of Bragdon old yeller. The Rutland Ry structures were colored a very light green tone which seemed to fade to a yellow tone. Many of the very old color photos show a bit of the green tone which was fading and wearing off. Many of the structures I saw in the 1980's had almost no paint at all if not repainted...George Dutka

Plans with the walls for the model.

Basics are done.

Used  a green oilbrusher from MIG which has a nice fine brush in the lid and flows really nice for the trim and windows.
