Just Back from Collinsville, Ct.

A really nice model display. Engines and rolling stock seen here are by John Terry. Many of the modeler's included the photo or photos they had worked from to get their models right. Most had the exact weathering seen in their photo's applied. If one was looking for a particular photo to work from Bob's photos had a designated room at the show full of photos and books to purchase. If one wanted the details and kits to complete such a project they could be found in two other room full of vendors.

Don and I decided last minute to head out last week to Collinsville, Ct. to attend the 12th annual New England-Northeast Railroad Prototype Modelers Meet. This was one of those bucket list events Don and I had talked about attending someday. We spent part of Friday and Saturday taking in clinics and viewing the excellent group of models on display. We both met up with many New England friends we had not seen in a long time. A few of the dealer's found at this year's show are seen in my photos below. Don and I also got some railfanning in and I will cover both the meet and RR photo locations in following posts...George Dutka

Some of the big name model companies had displays this year. I really took a look at the new Atlas S-2 which includes DCC and sound. This unit also has wire grabs and hand rails included which got me thinking of ordering one.

The sound I heard coming from this table was some of the best around.
