B&M White River Jct. Yard

A view of the old B&M WRJ yard looking south on Sept. 27, 1992.
On a visit to White River Junction in 1992 I took this slide view of the old B&M yard from a location I had viewed many photos taken by other railfans years prior. Boy what a difference it was and it looks no better today.  The tracks once housed a good collection of rolling stock and engines. A few more structures graced the yard also. On this visit one can see the old B&M yard office as the only remaining building and little else. Guess if you wanted to model this yard in the 1990's one need more long static grass than ballast...George Dutka

  1. It has come back ever so slightly from then: there is ballast on the tracks and some cars in the yard. But nothing like the days of old.

    1. Glad to hear that Christopher...it has been a couple of years since I have been there, and then only to the station...guess I think I best try another shot from that end of the yard for a comparison...George
