Copetown RPM 2019 - Second Look

Two of the many weathered cars on display by Paul of Ratbag Railcars. The fine pulpwood left behind on the car floor is actually the fine mulch that fell through the screening when Paul did his landscaping...an added bonus after completing some hard work.
A few more views by Peter and I of the weekends event. We spent a bit of time learning a few new weathering techniques from Paul of Ratbag Railcars...George Dutka

Ken Layland works away on a Monster Models kit. He is colouring the laser cut brick walls to reflect the photos included in the kit.
Brian Dickey's O scale British layout.
One of the many detailed structures on Brian Dickey's layout.
An overall view of one end of the hall. Seems like a good turnout for a smaller RPM meet.

I am looking on while Paul weathers up wheel sets. Peter and I learned a lot during the day from Paul. Peter Mumby photo.
Paul uses this gray colour from Princes Auto for his truck side-frames.
Some of the acrylic paints Paul uses. He uses alcohol as his thinner. Peter Mumby photo.
On the roof of the DW&P boxcar Paul uses a Sharpie silver paint for an added effect. We thought it looked pretty good and will be giving this a try. Peter Mumby photo.

A great looking model.
A silver Sharpie is used on the roof of this D&H covered hopper.
Another model by Ratbag.
A really nice scratch-built N scale caboose by Craig Aguiar-Winter.
