Throwback Thursday - Rubbing Shoulders, Too

 

CP 5630 was paying a visit to CN London East on April 10, 1998.

This photo was made on April 10, 1998 at CN London East.  I don't know the exact reason why these two rivals had this particular get-together, but a little speculation could be in order.  At this time, the Norfolk Southern run-through freights were often operated with CP power, so it is feasible that one of these units had to be set off at London for furtherance to the local CP transfer track.
