Welcome, follow along with George Dutka in his journal which documents the additions and future thoughts for the HO scale White River Division model railroad and to his continuing historical New England railroad research. The White River Division is now in its 19th modeler's season. The "modeler's season" runs from November to April each year. Inspiration comes from the Boston and Maine, Rutland and Central Vermont Railway during the 1950's with extra posts by Don Janes and Keith MacCauley.

Hi George,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words, & the inspiration for my build from your post a while back. You were a great help sending photos & the original instruction sheet, which I lacked. Your turn now !
Cheers,
KLS
This brings back a great deal of memories. If I recall correctly, the NCC kit was rather sparse, as shown, consisting of only the four body pieces, with somewhat limited instructions. I believe the kit was produced locally and I found out about it from a small ad in either MR or RMC. Herald King? Another memory generator! Sadly, I think I only got as far as brush painting (Floquil PC green) and pretty much gave up.
ReplyDeleteYes you are right Keith there was 4 pieces and poor instructions. The NCC kits were offered from a company in the Waterloo, Ontario area in the 1970's.
