Throwback Thursday - CP Ford Trucks in Yellow

In this view, CP2713-36 is sporting a multimark logo.  It was parked in London, Ontario on May 24, 1989.
By Peter Mumby.

Nowadays it seems that most OCS (On Company Service) trucks in our area are painted white.  Company accountants probably decided that an off-the-shelf colour would be preferable to a custom mix.  Not that long ago many CP vehicles wore an attractive shade of yellow.  Company names and logos came and went, but the colour remained consistent for many years.  The photos included herein highlight a number of these variations, but the coverage is not exhaustive.  For example, yellow trucks also carried StL&H and dual flag markings.

On June 30, 1990 CP 2714-27 is set for a day of work in Havelock, Ontario.
Following a recent visit by the Sperry car, rail replacement projects are underway in Peterborough on March 17, 1999.
Tank truck 2724-60 put in an appearance at Smiths Falls on July 11, 2001.
CP 2714-58 is lettered "CP Rail" on the front door, but "St. Lawrence and Hudson Railway" sub lettering appears on the back door.  On April 18, 2003 this vehicle was in Havelock.
