North America was a short-lived company rebranding of the early 1990s.
Of most interest to railfans was the accompanying logo which was
designed to appear on rolling stock. It featured a light grey CN noodle
superimposed on a darker grey map of North America - not particularly
inspiring when painted on a grey car such as the subject of today's
photo. This logo was applied to a fair number of locomotives, but only
showed up on a small handful of freight cars. I can only recall
photographing two such cars, and seeing one other. At least we are
looking at a clean car here, so the logo is displayed at its best. The
CNLX reporting mark belonged to Canadian National Leasing.
