Throwback Thursday - Revisiting HCRY 459

Huron Central 459 was building its train in CP's Sudbury yard on July 16, 1998.
By Peter Mumby.

I first showed you a photograph of Huron Central Railway SD-45E number 459 back on February 28, 2019.  Finding SD-45 models operating in Canada was quite unusual, so I thought this locomotive deserved a second look.  Here we see 459 making up its train in the CP yard at Sudbury, then leaving town on its way west toward Sault Ste. Marie.

HCRY 459 West is approaching Magill Road in Coppercliff, Ontario as it accelerates westward.  Visible to the right of the train is the Inco super stack, a longtime Sudbury-area landmark.
