White River Division

Welcome, follow along with George Dutka in his journal which documents the additions and future thoughts for the HO scale White River Division model railroad and to his continuing historical New England railroad research. The White River Division is now in its 17th modeler's season. The "modeler's season" runs from November to April each year. Inspiration comes from the Boston and Maine, Rutland and Central Vermont Railway during the 1950's with additional posts by Don Janes and Peter Mumby.

Branch Line Station on the WRD

My station is seen in place across from the mill. I named my station Wells. I had taken a photo of the Well River B&M sign about 10 years ago. I made a copy and just cut the river off the sign.

My station is now installed with the lights hooked up temporarily. As a drop-in this one will not be as easy to change since wires and lights are included...thinking it might be here for awhile...George Dutka

George. What a nice looking scene. Not to be too critical but looking at the car next to the station it struck me that there should be some stairs to get onto the platform. Looks like a pretty big climb for the passengers!
