Burlington West, Ontario - Station

Burlington West station as it appears on April 1 2015.

For a number of years the Burlington West station which once stood on the CNR Oakville Sub. was located behind the Burlington fire hall. On a visit this week with my friends Andy and Gary we found it moved out front of the hall set on a new concrete foundation and in the process of being restored. Thought I would share a few photos of our day...George Dutka

Gary Pembleton stands out front of the station he worked at as an operator when he first hired on the CNR in the early 1970's.

Gary stands next to the signal stand that once stood at the station. It has a blue light which would flash as a indication that an oncoming CPR passenger train was to stop to pick up passengers. This was a flag stop for the CPR but a regular station stop for the CNR and later VIA.
