Throwback Thursday: Double Your Pleasure, Double Your Fun.

Shot from the south side of the tracks, this is how Soo 75087 appeared on May 02/06.
By Peter Mumby.
You've probably all heard the one about the modeller who decided to double the apparent size of his rolling stock roster by applying different lettering schemes to opposite sides of each car.    If this notion appeals to you, then here's an entry from the "there's a prototype for everything" catalogue that might be of interest.  Here are two photos of one car, both taken on May 02, 2006.  The location was the small Ontario Southland Railway yard in Ingersoll, Ontario.  Anyone up for a different modelling project?

A stroll around to the north side of the tracks yielded this contrasting view of the Soo hopper.
