The loading platform was scratch built using wood strips of Mt Albert Lumber I have a lot of. |
A couple of views of the loading platform as it looks at the moment while completing the Hoods creamery complex. I added a long pipe and a box full of attachments for bulk loading along with a good amount of Tichy milk cans for can loading. This creamery will actually handle both style of milk cars. I I also added a small shelf for billing and paper work just outside the open door. The box of attachments are underneath. The box is a F&C resin casting...George Dutka

If you see Mt Albert Lumber Co. at train shows check out their bundles of off-cuts which are offered at a great price and work well for bracing and building things such as this loading platform. The bundles are a mix so look closely at which one suits your projects. I purchased two a number of years ago and still have lots. |

An overall look at the platform. The broom is a Tichy detail while the block and box are F&C offering. |
