This
neat little potential modelling subject was photographed at the Ontario
Northland Railway division point yard at Englehart, Ontario on August
29, 1990. Recently repainted in the company colour scheme, it
illustrates the fact that not all railway structures in the modern era
need to be heavily weathered. Notable are the front picture window and
the proliferation of spotlights, both on the structure itself and on the
free-standing post to its right. It was obviously designed for a
northern climactic area - the stack on the roof and the heating oil tank
visible around the south west corner are indicative of a contained
heater for the comfort of the operator. That sharp-looking ONR boxcar
in the background would make another great project!
