Welcome, follow along with George Dutka in his journal which documents the additions and future thoughts for the HO scale White River Division model railroad and to his continuing historical New England railroad research. The White River Division is now in its 17th modeler's season. The "modeler's season" runs from November to April each year. Inspiration comes from the Boston and Maine, Rutland and Central Vermont Railway during the 1950's with additional posts by Don Janes and Peter Mumby.
George, every time you post something you seem to hit my interest.. I scratch built this barn a number of years ago, never got around to putting on the tar paper roofing, looks like I'll have to do it now. JOHN
I took the photo in Springfield Geof ,at the Gatorfoam booth. Dave took a week off work to build his. He is also selling the kit in HO...did not note any N scale kits. His model looked really good...George
George, once again your posts seem to follow what I've been modelling, I scratched built this barn a number of years ago, I think it is located in Morrisville, was going to do the one in Lyndonville Vermont which is round but didn't have enough close up photos for accurate construction. JOHN
Ha! I built that same kit in N scale. I have to say, this model looks far better than what I produced.
